Developing a Python package for incremental clustering: Lessons learned

This talk will show you the process of creating a Python package, starting from the first line of code to uploading it to the Python Package Index. What steps do you need to take and what tools will help you on your way? My story is about implementing IncrementalDBSCAN, the incremental version of the well-known DBSCAN clustering algorithm. This was published in 1998 by Ester et al., but it had no open source implementations until now. The twists, surprises, ups and downs of this project will be also shared.
