Real-time applications of Computer Vision in Logistics
In the recent years, Computer Vision became an essential part of the AI strategy in large industrial companies. In logistics, we also identified several use cases of this technology and supported the digital transformation by introducing Video Analytics-based applications. In this technical talk, we present two use cases at DB Schenker, namely ILU Code and License Plate Detection for Yard Management, and Multi-Camera Object Detection and Tracking in Warehouses, with the focus on Object Detection (OD) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) techniques. We also give an outlook on further use cases and relevant research directions in this field.
